Chris spoke at Central's junior high camp near Lake Arrowhead.
It was so great to see familiar faces and catch up with friends-
although a huge surprise to see how much some of these kids have grown in 2 years!
One of the things we love about going to camp is that we get a lot of family time when the kids are busy in their small groups or other activities. Charlie loved having the soccer field all to himself.
He also loved joining in the worship and dancing. And I tried to keep him busy/entertained while Chris was teaching...
Lake Arrowhead is beautiful! The weather was awesome all week. And although I was slightly out of breath from the altitude, the cooler weather was a nice change.
We took a cruise around the lake and Charlie got to be 'captain'.
We also made a stop in Big Bear the day the junior highers went to the beach. (We opted out of that because it was an all day trip and we still tried to keep Charlie on some what of a normal schedule while we were @ camp...)
What junior high camp would be complete without a shaving cream fight?
Charlie wanted nothing to do with the mess- but some of the kids had goggles to protect their eyes and that was fun!
Now, Chris is off to UCYC with his 5th & 6th graders.
We are going to drive up to see him in Prescott on Tuesday- after my dr. appt.
(I'm actually going to go to my appt. this week!)
