muffins & mimosas

I read in a magazine a few years back about a group of women who celebrated the first day of school with a mimosa party.  Well, today marked the first of my friends to send their beloved off to kindergarten, so we started the tradition.  I'm not sure if it's more of a celebration or a way to drown the sorrows (probably some of both).
