I volunteered in Charlie's preschool class last Tuesday.
I was excited to see what he does, but was also afraid he would act differently with me there (like he does when I volunteer at church)...
The kids made people & had to choose hair & eyes that were their same colors. Charlie's is top left and one eye fell off.
In the playroom, I was laughing at Charlie feeding the doll and talking to it the same way I talk to Ethan.
The 'train' to the playground. Charlie was the caboose- appropriately wearing red.
Here's the patient teacher of 2 year old's: Mrs. Johnson. I was so tired after volunteering for 3 hours- I have no idea how she does this twice a week! It made me appreciate working with kids one-on-one as a nurse as opposed to leading a large group of them. Plus, I kept wanting to clean up, but after the first hour realized, "what's the point?" Mrs. Johnson loves Charlie and says he is a good listener and a 'leader' in the class and he doesn't eat the glue. All good things.
