the lost sheep

Things have settled down over here {somewhat} for the most part.
We are done with summer camps, VBS, and long bike rides.
Stella is stable and making slight improvements on her own 'Stella time'.
We anticipate preschool starting {very} soon.
I bought back to school supplies... just for fun.
& we're back into the routine of Family Worship Nights.

Last night: the parable of the lost sheep (& Ethan's first time joining us!)
Luke 15:1-7

We read the story in the toddler's bible and talked about it.
I asked Charlie, "Why did the shepherd want to go find the lost sheep? He had 99 others... did he really need one more?" He said, "Because he loved that sheep and wanted him back."
Well said, my sweetsie.

We watched this video on youtube that is an animated (no words) representation of the story. A little scary with the coyote, but they were captivated for 4 minutes:

Then, we played "hide & go find the sheep". Rave reviews. We teamed up, so Chris & Charlie hid while Ethan & I found them and when we would get close, they would say "baaa!" I caught Ethan playing by himself today which was extra comical.

Last, we sang: "I just want to be a sheep" (that Charlie learned at preschool) for our 'worship' song and prayed as a family.
