15 minutes...

I read in 'parenting' magazine about a mom who committed to spend 15 minutes a day with each of her kids.  She actually sets a timer and if any of her other kids interrupt, more time is added.  At first 15 minutes didn't seem like a lot of time.  It feels like I spend all day with Charlie- but I realized that time was intentional.  I was convicted because Charlie is such an independent player, I don't always make an effort to engage him with 100% of my time and energy... and then this 15 minute thing seemed genious.  And my mind wandered to what else deserved 15 minutes of my undivided attention.  My time in the word and prayer has been slacking... and 15 minutes is very do-able.  And Chris should get the same effort.  So, all the guys in my life (Jesus, Chris & Charlie) are about to get some completely devoted them-only one-on-one time.

Lesley, this is such a great idea. You need to start your own inspirational page to motivate the rest of us. I love to look at your page and Charlie is always so happy.

Hi Leslie and family,
I have been blog surfing to see who knows who while my girls nap today, and found you! (I'm not really sure the path I took, but I think I started with Jen Russell.) You are now a bookmark and I will visit often.
Love,
