I'm also kind of a dork because I have a big box of 4x6 cards that are new recipes and if they get the family's approval, they get moved to the box labeled 'tried and true'.
I usually try to make at least one new recipe a week.
This week, MOPS needed some more volunteers to bring goodies (these women can RIOT if there is not enough food! 1/3 are pregnant, 1/3 postpartum and 1/3 are moms of energetic preschoolers who probably forget to feed themselves most the time, so I understand...)
I decided to try one of my new sticky bun recipes out on them because the family won't let me stray from our traditional Christmas morning sticky buns that ARE sinfully good.
The new one: pull apart maple pecan sticky buns... even the name hints at it's goodness.
2nd new recipe of the week:
I have a few enchilada casserole recipes, but was looking for a semi-healthier option and found this one on Taste of Home.
One of my friends had a baby recently, and in MOPS-like fashion we all take over meals, so I doubled this baby up and prayed that it was actually good since I was giving a 'new recipe' meal.
Very risky.
We ate it tonight, and it was good...
