crying kahuna

scenerio:

I want pictures of my baby at the beach for the first time. His room is decorated surfer style, so I'm even thinking in advance that a few beach pictures would look good on the wall. I head out in the water first, back to the waves, camera in hand. I let him crawl out in the shallow water. I don't see the big wave and it knocks him off balance to where he rolled over in the water and his hair and ears and every other crevice was filled with sand. And this was the reaction to his first beach experience.
