serving

We have been looking for a place that we can serve together as a family. It's easier to say that than to actually find a place that allows kids to serve... But, we are happy to have found a local community center/food bank that will take us and our kids can actually help.

The first time we volunteered, we were stocking crates with canned food items. Yesterday was distribution day- so we loaded shopping carts and helped families unload their groceries to their cars.

After our morning of serving, we stopped into Circle K to get a slurpee. It was a well received treat (and well deserved- this boy worked hard!)
