back to life, back to reality...

just got back from a scrapbook retreat/girls' weekend away.
we were crafty.
we learned new techniques.
we faked being gracious when we didn't win any of the prizes.
we [tried] to sleep in.
we ate good tasting-bad for you-food.
we drank wine (which didn't help in producing quality craftiness...)
we had a good time.
& even though i was away from my family, there were cute pictures of them all around me, so it helped when i missed them.
these are a few of my favorite creations.
since i turn 31 (gasp!) in a few days, i took the time to reflect on 'me @ 30' and wrote down some bits & pieces of who i am right now:
i also captured 'us' in a 'he likes/she likes' journaling style:
oooh. i love this layout of our trip to hawaii. probably, just because i loved hawaii.
here's a closer up version of the grid i made using [my favorite] photos from our trip, cutting them down to 2x2 inches each.
so, the retreat we went to was an organized scrapbooking retreat at a hotel where the banquet room transitioned into a huge crafty room and we all got a large table to work at...
but, we were thinking "we could host this. and it could be so much fun with crazy games and a cocktail hour every night and chic flix playing in the background..." so, we basically planned our own version of a girl's getaway crafty weekend for next year on the drive home.
who's with us?
