Yesterday was a busy day. Most of our days are busy around here. I feel like I keep my sanity more if we have an agenda/plan for the day that includes leaving the house for something.
(I'm sure it boils down to if we stay home, it just means I have more to clean up after...)
But, yesterday was a full agenda day: farm tour in the morning with mops group, then home in the afternoon for what should be nap time. While Ethan was sleeping, I spent some time reading our Valentine's collection books to Charlie. This is our new fave:
The book keeps asking 'Where's my sweetie pie?' as you find different animals hiding on each page and the last page has a locket that you open with a mirror and says, "There you are sweetie pie!"
We read it over and over and once Charlie knew the ending, he kept saying on each page,
"but, I'm your sweetie pie!" It was one of those moments a mom treasures.
Fast forward 6 hours. We had gone to swim lessons, Bible Study and I was driving home, knowing Charlie was exhausted.
We got out of the car in the garage and he just came over and kicked me.
WHAT?!
I was completely in shock. He has never done that before and it was so un-like him.
Where's my sweetie pie?!
(He went straight to bed.)
