The day after Christmas, we packed our bags and moved into this beach bungalow: (temporarily...)
My sweet friend, Sarah offered for us to stay at her place in Corona Del Mar while she was visiting her family in Seattle. A house swap kind of deal {sorta} because no one came to our casa de Gilberto. We spent our days riding the new Christmas bikes up and down her block TO THE BEACH. Yes, you heard me right. The beach was only a block away.
It was heaven. All the locals probably thought we were nuts to let our kids put their feet/lower half of bodies in the cold ocean, but we were in vacation mode. We walked to cute little cafe's for our morning coffee, picked up lunch from Chronic Taco's to eat in the front yard and just breathed in the fresh salty air.
Sarah- you are welcome to come raid our house any time you want! We are close to your favorite store, Last Chance... and that's about the only thing we have that's better than your digs.
