Going to see Santa

Tonight we're going to attempt to go see Santa.
We've attempted before but have failed.
Charlie doesn't mind waving from a distance but starts backing away as we get closer.
I'm not one of those parents (I don't think, but we'll see) who force their kids on his lap because a picture is necessary.  A picture would be cute.  I'm already debating reindeer antlers vs. santa hat for what Ethan should wear.  Chris and I have a bet going as to how the oldest will react.  Judging by recent attempts, I think Chris will win the bet- that Charlie will have nothing to do with it.  But, I have been trying to talk it up.  We've watched videos on youtube with Santa singing 'jingle bells' (Charlie's favorite Christmas song although he thinks everyone is singing 'jingle boys'), we talk about how you tell Santa what present you want for Christmas, and today I even had him draw a picture to give to Santa.  (I thought he might feel important to hand him something...)
The bet is on.
The verdict will be known tonight.
At least I can count on Ethan who is happy when anyone holds him- even jolly old men.
As I was browsing youtube to find good Santa videos where kids are happy to be visiting him (there aren't many), I found this little number instead!
We might have our own torture picture to add to the montage.
