[not so]green thumb

I don't have a green thumb.

I forget to water my plants.

We bought our house with beautiful rose bushes in the backyard and I didn't know how to prune them.

I can pick weeds, but I don't like to.

I like the idea of growing some of our own veggies, but I am realistic.

(This is why I joined a food co-op...to reap the benefits of someone else's green thumb...)

But I bought this upside down tomato planter that claims anyone can grow "up to 30 pounds of tomatoes with one tomato plant!"

I followed the directions.

It's been hung with the best intentions.

And just as promised, we are starting to see some little green ones popping up!
