summer survival

It's that time of year again.
All of our 'regularly scheduled activities' have ceased for summer.
Now, it's time to get creative.
Thankfully, my MOPS group had a volunteer (thanks, Laura!) to schedule regular play dates around town throughout the summer.
On Wednesday morning, we went to Toytown in Ahwatukee. It was an intimate indoor play area set up like a town with a hospital, carpenter's shop, fire station, school, etc:
It was nice not having to worry about cleaning up and it was small enough that we didn't lose our kids. They gave us a group rate, so we paid $6/kid.

Later that day, my friend Tracy invited us over to their backyard mecca to play.
Umm... giant [backyard] water slide = Charlie's dream.
She found this at the end of last summer on sale.
Seriously. Best backyard activity ever because it inflates/deflates in minutes and you just attach a hose. Genius.
(I'm going to definitely be looking and mom- hint, hint if you ever see something like this!)

I'm going to keep posting our summer survival plans, but would love some more ideas when the creativity runs dry! Also, send me a text or email if you ever want to meet somewhere to get out of the heat!
