my own monster

I've created my own monster.

I'm not working today (since my kids' favorite caretaker is out of town, i.e. YaYa) and I had big plans to get some projects done around the house, such as:
*updating the boys' closets for summer and getting rid of clothes that don't fit them
*finding a new place to store Charlie's puzzles so he can't get them down by himself, resulting in puzzle pieces all over the house
*attacking the never-ending pile of laundry
*sorting through the stack of mail that has been sitting for a week
(I know this all sounds SO EXCITING!...)

But, Charlie woke up today and the first words out of his mouth were, "Where are we going today?"

There it is. My 'monster'. I've created a routine where we go somewhere or do something fun everyday.

Today, my 'fun mom' activity ridden schedule has come back to bite me.

So now, we will probably take a walk to our neighbors to visit the cows, chickens and goats. That should suffice.

*Update: The walk appeased my boy and qualified as doing something.
Here's my view into the double stroller as they watched the animals.
